What "Handi-Valide" means?

We define as "Handi-Valid" as any activity of coeducation of impaired people and people without disabilities, which teaching is nevertheless appropriate. Here we act so martial arts will be open to people with disabilities, while preserving them from the inherent dangers in their situations, addressing an adapted pedagogy that allowing them to evolve according to their constraints.

How was it settled?

The AAHVDA has born from the experience of teaching with persons with disabilities (the "Atelier d'Aikido Handi-Valide" at  ASSO SPORT, ROCBARON - France. Indeed, this class, mixing public of valid and disabled, had created a craze.

Due to numerous requests addressed to the "Atelier d'Aikido Handi-Valid" overpassing the scope of the articles of the sports' association to which was attached the Workshop, the creation of a new entity became obvious.

It is to meet these needs that AAHVDA was created in 2013. If its name evokes the Atelier d'Aikido,  which is at its origin, its objectives apply to all martial practices.

In 2016, the AAHVDA moved to Alsace, keeping devlopping events in France and other countries.
